The goal is freedom, fuck you, and nothing else. If you wake up everyday with no alarm clock and no boss, you’re blessed.
People see overnight success, but it takes multiple years of action to hit it big.
Realizing the saying “skate to where the puck is going, not where its been” is the biggest business lightbulb moment I’ve had that has really flipped my view of what industry to build in. Also, shows me that 99% of any success so far has been a factor of where I’ve placed my focus and not necessarily my genius or performance.
It takes three crypto cycles to hit it big (1st one you lose it all, 2nd one you make a nice amount but still make mistakes, 3rd one you have enough capital, connections, and experience to win big).
People make decisions based on what is best for them, whether or not you are included in those decisions is sometimes a mystery.
I’ll never retire.
There’s a balance between freedom and stability that is a fine line.
If you’re ever up a million, get out and run for the hills.
Investing in the traditional world is a valid way to hedge your risky lifestyle. In my case, dropping out and not having a steady ‘job’ income for the last three years is hedged via gold and real estate.
Governments are so wildly incapable across the board, it is your responsibility to seek freedom and sovereignty at every avenue. Residences, passports, languages, multiple income sources, etc.
Adopting the mentality of “top of the world or bottom of the ocean” is great in bull markets, when you’ve got nothing to lose or no “groundwork” for yourself yet, but not so great in a bear market when you have a lifestyle to maintain and have already ascended socioeconomic levels.
Empathy is the key to a happy life with strong, deep relationships with others. There is nothing that is stopping you from building your empathic muscles.
The devil takes the hindmost. Last one in is the sucker, first one out is the winner. If you’re going to panic, panic early and stay committed to staying out. Panic early.
Like in business, the only way to have an extremely healthy romantic relationship is to jump in head first, no fear of heartbreak or loss, & trust endlessly.
Electric cars are 100% the future, they are absolutely epic and so cool.
Starting something new is the easiest way to feel like you’re an idiot again. Really, try it. For me this year it was real estate, absolutely no clue what I’m doing but so far its going well.
Managing risk is a life-long process as an adult. Risk comes in many different formats and avenues, all to be managed one way or another. If you do not manage it, the universe will manage it for you. You don’t want that.
Nothing a good workout and sauna session can’t fix, toss in some headspace meditation and reading of your principles and you’re good.
Reading my principles, personal creed, victory jar and more everyday is a necessity for mental health.
Good to take a second and look back at how far you’ve came sometimes but not dwell on the past. Contentment is reached through feeling satisfied about accomplishments and who you are as a person. Take risks.
Ultimately at this stage in life, people and places are temporary. It stings. It hurts. But its okay. Be glad you got to experience it rather than upset its ending.
The final reflection is that to thrive in the modern world is to exist in a perpetual state of uncertainty and be OK with it. Handling stress, day to day issues and bigger problems are all part of the uncertainty of the universe. Prepare for uncertainty and don’t take your foot off the gas when things are going well.
My birthday is approaching in a few weeks. 22 was a life-changing year for me in many ways. I wish to inspire you to excellence and growth amidst your journey where ever that may be for all we have is one life.
Cheers,
Andy
